As an event manager for the United Nations Foundation, I am used to solely planning and executing events, but for this event our team knew we’d need to bring in outside help. Thomas impressed from the beginning with his level of experience and expertise, often making difficult tasks appear easy and executed our event flawlessly.
I was particularly impressed by his ability to mediate numerous logistical problems. From managing registration flow for 300+ guests in a space made for 150 to flipping our plenary space in 45 minutes to set up our exhibition booths, no problem was impossible to solve; he went about the entire process with a great attitude putting our entire team at ease.
As an event professional, Thomas earns my highest recommendation and I would not hesitate to work with him again.
I’ve worked with Thomas in two separate occasions now. Most recently Thomas managed a series of high profile virtual events from concept through to post-event wash-up for a complex multi-partnership programme.
Thomas brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table, and beyond being just focussed on the technical delivery of the event he also was an integral part of the event strategy team, shaping and contributing to the content so that it met our objectives. He is incredibly reliable, communicates well, and is a joy to work with.
The fact that Thomas anticipates what’s next and offers credible creative solutions for both physical and virtual events meant I knew that we were in safe hands. I could not recommend Thomas highly enough.
Having worked with Thomas, I couldn’t work with anyone else. He’s very organised, professional, dependable, nothing’s too much trouble, incredibly honest, huge integrity.
What I most value about Thomas is that he was as invested in my conference as I was. I felt I was working with a partner rather than a contractor, and it showed: on the day the conference was expertly managed and run, which was commented on by my keynotes and delegates alike.
On every occasion we have worked with Thomas he is meticulous, diligent and utterly reliable. He is also amazing at taking somewhat loose concepts and turning them into real events that are extremely slick despite any number of hurdles we throw at him. I take great pleasure in taking the credit but it is of course all his. I would recommend him highly.
“Working with Thomas has been a pleasure. Thomas is proactive, well organised and came up with some very creative solutions to overcome various challenges that were thrown his way. He is also tech-savvy with a good dose of marketing know-how, and attention to detail. He was able to slot straight into the team and make a difference from day one, ensuring our event ran smoothly and successfully. Thoroughly recommended.”
“Thomas worked with me and my team on the delivery of our most recent employee event – 2 days, 1500 people, 1 dog. We’re a different kind of bank running different kind of events. And Thomas slotted right into our different kind of comms team when he joined us as a project manager to help us run the overall project delivery and budgets.
Within days he became an invaluable part of the team – his depth of experience shone through when managing every detail of our plans, as well as when supporting stakeholders and presenters. He’s also a real team player and was an absolute rock when we had a few tricky moments along the way. We loved having Thomas as part of the team and can’t wait to work with him again.”

Efficient, capable and reliable but also has the flexibility and creativity to be able to develop ideas and manage uncertainty, Thomas has been a pleasure to work with this year and we plan to appoint Thomas as our event manager for next year’s Women’s Adventure Expo. Highly recommended.
“Thomas was fantastic to work with – knowledgeable, a specialist in his field, reliable and made the roadshow project we were working on run perfectly smoothly.
He was what I would call ‘on it’ and added masses of value in terms of recommendations, additional ideas, great feedback during the project and cracking through a mountain of work as we had a lot to do in a short space of time. A joy to work with and I look forward to working together again soon. I would highly recommend him.”
“Thomas joined my Events & Editorial team for three months on the run up to my 1,500 delegate conference. The event is complex and costly, and Thomas’s role was monitor the milestones we needed to deliver and track / challenge costs.
And what a job he did! I’m pretty sure he more than paid for himself in the cost conscious approach he took. He was able to effectively challenge without ever making any of the third parties feel bullied. And slotted into the team so well it was a shock when we realised he was leaving.
I would absolutely have Thomas join the team again – I hope he’s free next time I need his skills!”
Angharad Miller, Head of Internal Communications & Community Engagement, TSB Bank plc
“We appointed Thomas to work with us on the Venturefest 2017 launch event and he was a real asset to our team. He did a fantastic job of delivering a really slick event and had thought of every detail. He was very proactive, got on with the job really efficiently and was such a pleasure to work with. The event was a success and we look forward to working with Thomas again for future events. I can’t recommend him highly enough.”
“Thomas was recruited to deliver two key projects for me as part of Bristol’s year as the UK’s first European Green Capital – Venturefest 2015 and the Bristol Summits.
Thomas was a pleasure to work with, quickly interpreting the brief and delivering effective and detailed production solutions. Key to this was his wish to really get involved in understanding the client’s vision and ensuring this was delivered in every element of the events.
I couldn’t recommend Thomas highly enough – personally I look forward to working with him again soon.”
“When you’re planning a large & diverse business technology showcase like Venturefest Bristol & Bath you need an ops manager with a calm head. Thomas understood the complex and ambitious vision for Venturefest which we had to deliver in a new venue and in a new format.
He quickly assembled a delivery plan and executed with a relative light-touch direction from myself allowing me to concentrate on other priorities. The curated event was a big success for the region and exceeded many expectations.”
“The Bristech conference was a successful event in no small part to the efforts of Thomas, whom I would highly recommend as an event coordinator.
His unflappable nature, willingness to go beyond the brief and attention to essential detail were characteristics in evidence from the get-go. Thomas brought energy, ideas as well as much-needed practical touches to the event; I hope he will do the same for us next year!”
His understanding and production of technical matters – especially exhibition floor plans – makes him the only choice for me as the organiser and I will be hiring his expertise for Showcase 2015. Recommended.”
“In January we knew we needed to launch the brand, targets and objectives, we knew we needed a separate event and we knew when we needed to do it [June!]. We had no budget and no resource.
Thomas took charge in his unflappable way and delivered a three day conference and industry fair and entertainment for public visitors. He organised a marquee in front of Bristol City Hall, marshalled all the resources, developed the conference programme, secured entertainment, sold all the exhibition space….
In the end he covered his costs and everyone else’s so that we broke even on the event as a whole. Can’t speak any more highly of the effort he put in, the skills he displayed and the result he delivered.”
James Lancaster, Director, Bristol Solar City
“Thomas was instrumental in the development of the Cloud World Series. Event management was always of the highest standard with a keen eye for detail and a commercial mind that helped us maximise revenue from our events.
He clearly knows his stuff when it comes to event management and I hope we’ll get a chance to work together again.”
